Satellite Office of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute in Middlesex County, New Jersey, Launched by Assemblywoman and Monroe Town Council Members
Local dignitaries, including Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein and several Monroe Town Council Members, gathered to launch the Middlesex County satellite office of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (AOSMI) and wish the orthopedic surgeons and staff well.
Monroe, NJ, May 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein; and Monroe Township Council members President Gerald Tamburro, Councilwoman Leslie Koppel-Egierd, and Councilman Henry Miller joined other dignitaries to welcome the orthopedic surgeons and staff of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute (AOSMI) at their new location, a satellite office, in Monroe Township, N.J., at 312 Applegarth Road.
AOSMI, one of the fastest growing orthopedic practices in Monmouth County, NJ, provides such services as sports medicine, hand and wrist care, shoulder and knee care, joint replacement, arthroscopy, fracture care, osteoporosis care, spine care, foot and ankle care, and work injury care, among others.
Through the latest in technology, all medical information and documents, such as digital imaging and clinical records at the Freehold, New Jersey offices of AOSMI, will be instantly available to doctors working at the Monroe office, so patients do not have to be concerned about which office to make an appointment.
Honorable Assemblywoman, Linda R. Greenstein, who presented the doctors with a resolution from the General Assembly, said, “Although I know a lot from my constituents and from being in office for ten years, I am also learning on a personal level how important it is to have good doctors nearby. I want to congratulate you. I’m sure you will be very welcomed here in the community of Monroe Township.”
Gerald W. Tamburro, Council President of Monroe Township, said, “Monroe, because of its population, is the demilitarized zone as far as hospitals are concerned. Fifty percent of our population lives in gated communities, so it is the right place for orthopedic medicine. We welcome the opportunity to give our people, the residents of Middlesex County, a shorter distance to doctors, and we know it is going to be a very successful operation.”
Councilman Henry L. Miller, said, “We are a township of 35,000. It used to be everything was Princeton, then Robert Wood, and also St. Peters; but we are pleased to welcome you and to have you here because we do need you.”
Councilwoman Leslie Koppel-Egierd said, “I am coming right from the gym and I said this was someplace that I hope I never actually use for a long time, but welcome and I know you will do a really good job for us in our community. The people of Monroe, Jamesburg, Englishtown, Cranbury and other surrounding communities need caring doctors and the facility to take care of them, so thank you very much for coming to our community.”
Robert Gough, president of the Jamesburg Monroe Regional Chamber of Commerce, said, “I have talked to a lot of businesses, mostly small businesses, lately who are struggling in these economic times. There is an old Dutch proverb that goes along the lines of ‘Don’t throw out your bucket until you know your new one doesn’t leak.’ This office is an expansion of an outstanding organization and I want to say thank you for bringing such a bright and shiny bucket here to this area.”
Dr. Michael Greller, managing partner of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute, said, “We are honored that you all came here today to welcome us to Monroe. We are excited to be here because we have a lot to offer both the township residents and yourselves. We look forward to many years here caring for patients and not having too many leaks in our bucket.”
Dr. Greller expects that in the next few months, the Monroe practice will offer additional services, including a podiatrist and a physician specializing in pain management. The doctors at AOSMI are privileged and on staff of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick; CentraState Medical Center, Freehold; and also perform outpatient surgery at University SurgiCenter, 561 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, and Northern Monmouth Regional Surgicenter, Manalapan. All the doctors at AOSMI will hold hours at the Monroe office, including surgeons Manuel T. Banzon; Gregg S. Berkowitz; James Cozzarelli; Michael J. Greller, Grigory Goldberg, Gerardo Goldberger, and Alan S. Nasar.
