New Record Label Changing Music Business

To be next in line means standing on the edge of what you've dreamt and what can be your reality. To be Next in Line Records is no different. An independent record label, Next in Line Records changes the way business does music.

Pittsburgh, PA, June 14, 2005 --(PR.com)-- To be next in line means standing on the edge of what you've dreamt and what can be your reality.  To be Next in Line Records is no different.  An independent record label, Next in Line Records changes the way business does music.

Founded on April 1st, 2005 by MJ Storey of the Pittsburgh-based rock outfit Reasons for Leaving and Jason Wendle formerly of Jacksonville's Evolemo, Next in Line Records bases their business philosophy on the word "change."

"This label was founded on a certain ethic," Storey says in explanation of his motivation.  "I have not been alive to witness honest and hardworking music business since it passed in the 1950s.  It is a frustrating thing as a musician to watch yourself and your friends suffer on the account of others who have managed to manipulate the business enough to gain control.  Next in Line was something I had to do for myself, my friends, and for everyone I have crossed paths with in twelve years of being a part of this business."

In mid-April, Storey and Wendle approached Eric Wittlin, a 26-year old entrepreneur from Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, and Joshua Dziabiak, an 18-year old ‘dot com' millionaire from Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.  With each member of the foursome bringing their own unique styles, specialties, and knowledge to the table, Next in Line grew rapidly in its first few weeks.

Finding ways to step up as a label bent on making positive changes, Next in Line developed a controversial recording contract which included extreme royalties for the artists' benefit.  They have waived a number of recoupable expenses to take stress off artists and allow them to focus on what matters: Music.

Their philosophy worked.  By May, Next in Line signed two bands, developed a national street team of 300 people, became a sponsoring label of Pure Volume, and began the first of several marketing campaigns from their two main offices in Camp Hill and Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.  In addition, Next in Line secured distribution with Suburban Home Distribution, which will be placing their releases nationally in popular stores such as Hot Topic.

And this is only the beginning.  Next in Line Records continues to grow daily, collecting more friends, fans, and family in what co-founder Wendle calls "Honest hard work.  It is what we believe and it is what we strive to do on a daily basis."

It is clear that the music world can believe in what Next in Line Records does.  We can only expect great works from them in a brilliant, promising, wonderful future.
