New Glass Imaging Technology Helps On-Site Systems Meet Tight Deadline
Suwanee, GA, July 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Creating full-color glass store windows and product shelf backgrounds on less than two days' notice was a challenge for On-Site Systems. With the Atlanta.net store opening just hours away, Sierra Construction commissioned On-Site Systems to make it happen.
Barry Russell, superintendent of Sierra Construction, supervised the project.
"I had guys working the night before they opened to put the glass in," said Russell. "It was down to the wire, and it turned out great."
On-Site Systems had only 36 hours to create a storefront window and a series of interior transoms for Atlanta.net, a boutique shop in the Atlanta airport.
"What made this one so great is we have a brand-new capability which no one else in town has," said Derek Lindeborg of On-Site Systems. "It's direct imaging dynamic pictures onto glass. That's a big deal because the glass can be frosted and lit. We get pictures that can be back-lighted more economically. No one has really used this in our field."
Thanks to this new technology, On-Site Systems was able to meet the deadline, even with last-minute changes to the artwork.
"We were able to work quickly and on time with the contractor to get everything done," said Lindeborg.
The quality of the glasswork from On-Site Systems impressed Russell.
"I liked the graphics on it," he said. "They were really nice. I've never seen that before."
