AllAboutDance Announces Super Summer Sale Event and Dance Performance
Forty Fort, PA, July 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The AllAboutDance discount dancewear store in Forty Fort will host its second annual Super Summer Clearance Sale at its new location, 180 Welles St., from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 17 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 18.
The Super Summer Clearance event is a two-day celebration of everything dance, featuring truckloads of name brand dancewear on sale at rock bottom prices, performances by local dance groups, and an appearance by Shannon Doyle, the newly crowned Miss Pennsylvania. Dancers are invited to visit the 25,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art storefront and warehouse location to shop bins full of five, ten, and fifteen dollar items, some even as low as one dollar.
“This year’s event is going to be amazing! Last year we saw dancers drive from as far as Virginia just to take advantage of the savings, and this year we have even more to offer.” said AllAboutDance president Alice Ellman. “Not only are there truckloads worth of sale merchandise, but we will also be featuring performances by some of the area’s brightest dancers, because we love to promote the art of dance within our community.”
This year customers will be able to enjoy a cooler shopping experience indoors. Another major upgrade is the amount of merchandise that will be available for sale. While there was a parking lot full of merchandise last summer, this year that amount has more than doubled. The dancewear has been expertly organized to make it easy for customers to find the great deals they are looking for. Customers can take advantage of even more variety at even lower prices.
Miss Pennsylvania Shannon Doyle will visit the sale on Saturday at 2 p.m. and will be handing out autographed photographs. Doyle will perform a tap dance for the talent portion of the Miss America pageant in January, and AllAboutDance is proud to sponsor her by providing her tap shoes for the event.
Dance performances will take place throughout the afternoon on Saturday. Some groups scheduled to perform include the David Blight School of Dance, Wilkes-Barre; Joan Harris Centre, Luzerne; Kerry Dancers, Drums; RJG Latino Multicultural Dance Group, Wilkes-Barre; Dance Contours, Wilkes-Barre; and Elite Dance Company, Hazleton.
The AllAboutDance story began twelve years ago with the opening of a small dancewear store in Kingston. The store was named Broadway Dreams, and has proudly served the local dance community since 1997. Along the way, the company opened a second Broadway Dreams store in Scranton and launched a discount website and catalog called AllAboutDance.
The internet/catalog division of the business grew rapidly, and AllAboutDance quickly emerged as one of the largest discount dancewear suppliers in the country. The company acquired one of their largest competitors, Dance Distributors, at the start of 2008, cementing their position in the industry. They carry the biggest names in dancewear, from Capezio, Bloch and Leo’s to Body Wrappers, Danskin, Mirella and many more, and ship products around the globe.
About one and a half years ago, the company decided it was time to bring discount dancewear local and reopened its Kingston store as AllAboutDance, selling discounted dancewear.
After even more growth, the company combined the storefront, warehouse and call center in a brand new facility conveniently located right off the Cross Valley in Forty Fort where customers enjoy at least 25% off of retail price on every item every day. Customers now also have limitless access in the store to the thousands of items offered in the catalog and on the website. AllAboutDance provides a premier level of service in the store. Expert shoe fitting and a friendly, knowledgeable staff are integral parts of the in-store AllAboutDance experience.
“This event will be the largest dancewear clearance sale AllAboutDance has ever had, and northeastern Pennsylvania has ever seen.” Ellman said. “We hope to see all area dancers at this event to take advantage of the super low prices, excellent dance performances, and much more.”
