New Business Management Software Launched for Contractors - Ventus Software
VMS announces launch of Ventus Software, a newly-designed software system for service contractors and construction companies to manage their business’ service and construction operations and accounting back office.

Ventus brings to the construction and service contracting industries easy to use and intuitive interfaces combined with a real time SQL database in one integrated business management software system. In an industry where software has been for decades constrained by development environments first used in the 1980’s, VMS has striven forward on Microsoft’s latest platforms using .Net/SQL technology. This technology enables Ventus to bring its users simple and intuitive interfaces reminiscent of popular MS products like Outlook, Word and Excel but with functionality that has been built up by hundreds of contractors for over 25 years.
Ventus is one of the first established providers in the market for integrated construction, service management and accounting software to release a product based in the .Net and SQL environments. “We have been at this re-write for over 4 years now. When we began this journey, Microsoft did not even have full documentation in .Net for us to program with.” Says Jim Snyder, President at VMS.
Ventus Software will be integrated with all VMS applications, including Ventus Mobile Field Service and Ventus eService. Ventus Mobile Field Service is a software solution for contractors to enable their field technicians to manage their work orders remotely though the use of a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) or on a laptop. Ventus eService is a web portal that contractors can provide their large regional or national accounts and their subcontractors to manage work orders on-line.
