Metropolitan Vintners Acquires NYCWineReport.com to Expand Reach Into NYC Wine Market
Metropolitan Vintners announces the acquisition of NYCWineReport.com, a trusted voice in the NYC wine market for wine reviews, pricing and purchasing information.
New York, NY, July 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Metropolitan Vintners announces the acquisition of www.NYCWineReport.com, a trusted voice in the NYC wine market for over 5 years for information on what wine to buy, how much to pay and where to get it.
Providing wine aficionados with detailed wine recommendations, pricing guides and a list of local wine shops that carry the wines reviewed on the website, the NYC Wine Report has been an integral part of the NYC wine community over the last five years. www.NYCWineReport.com also serves as reference source for general wine information with “Links to the Wine World” and an events calendar with wine tastings and other events.
The NYC Wine Report will increase opportunities for wine shops and wineries that work with Metropolitan Vintners on its existing web properties to reach more customers and increase brand awareness. Wine shops currently listed on the website for free will be provided a grace period in which to decide whether to remain on the website under the new pay-for-placement model.
The NYC Wine Report will continue to recommend new wines on a monthly basis and will soon be launching the New York City Wine Club, which will allow xenophiles nationwide to have the wines recommended each month delivered to their doorstep. NYC Wine Report will also be improved by adding new features, such as a one-click option to order the reviewed wine for home delivery through www.NYCWine.com and integration with social media websites like Facebook and Twitter, all geared toward expanding the Metropolitan Vintners’ footprint in New York City.
“Right now we own over 500 wine-related websites targeted to major cities in the US, UK and Canada. This year we plan to focus on expanding our networks in NYC and San Francisco, but by the end of 2010 our goal is to be a major player in the largest 10 wine markets in the world,” said Managing Partner Greg Loeffelholz. “Not only are we able to offer free, immediate, delivery for wine orders from a selection of more than 10,000 wines to customers, but our network will allow businesses an unparalleled reach to drive sales and promote brands internationally.”
