Baby Fingers Adds New Book to Baby Sign Language Series “Baby Fingers: Teaching Your Baby to Sign”
Baby Fingers LLC introduces a new book to their series of Baby Sign Language books. The new addition titled Baby Fingers: Teaching Your Baby to Sign features intuitive new graphics for parents and babies alike to enjoy.
New York, NY, July 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The new material is a publication of Baby Fingers Program, the premier sign language program for children and families in the NY Metro area. Lora Heller, author of Baby Fingers: Teaching Your Baby to Sign board book series, and Sign Language for Kids with Sterling Publishing, has been featured in NY Times, the Big Apple Parent, Discovery Health, WNBC Today in NY, WNYC among others.
Author Lora Heller explains the usefulness of the new book Baby Fingers: Teaching Your Baby to Sign, “Imagine your non-verbal child participating in a music activity by adding sign language to a song or requesting to read a book together by making the ASL sign for book. Think about your school aged child with a speech issue feeling confident communicating with the addition of sign language to express himself/herself.”
The Baby Fingers Program offers classes, workshops, parties, and lessons/tutoring around NYC and surrounding areas for infants, children, families, and adults. Webinars and home materials are also available for further study.
Lora Heller, founding director of Baby Fingers LLC, is a music therapist with her master’s degree in Deaf education. She has worked with babies and children of all ages who have a variety of special needs—from the neonatal intensive care unit, to the preschool speech and language clinic, to the adolescent psychiatric program. Lora has assisted families through the bonding process of early parenting, language development, anger management, and more.
