Violinist, Headlines in Qatar in Front of 60'000

London, United Kingdom, May 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On the back of a performance in Dubai in April 2009, London based Violinist, Diana Yukawa, was asked to headline a show in Qatar at EMIR Football Cup Final on 16th May to a crowd of 60’000 people in The Khalifa Stadium.

This event is the most followed one-day sports event in Qatar and it is here that the country officially announced their successful bid to host the 2022 Football World Cup.

The award winning violinist has had 2 successful solo albums with BMG Japan. Following her debut album Diana released at age 14 and she was acknowledged as one the country’s top 10 artists.

Diana began learning the violin at 5 years of age and has lead an extraordinary life. Born in Tokyo to English ballet dancer and Japanese banker just 3 weeks after the 1985 Japan Airlines disaster that took her father’s life, Diana has crossed cultural boundaries in her personal life and is pushing to cross even further in her professional life as a talented and much celebrated violinist.

Her debut album ‘La Campanella’ released in 2000 on BMG RCA became a No.1 best seller and was released in the UK under the title ‘Elegy’ in 2001 to rave reviews including Classic FM’s Henry Kelly. Her second album – works by Saint-Saens with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra was released in 2001.

Now at only 23 years of age Diana is working on the music for her third album, due for release later in 2009.
