Bruce Baird’s California Golf School: Bringing the East Coast Professional Golf Schools and Experienced Golf Instructors
San Diego, CA, July 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Bruce Baird’s California Golf Schools comes to the East Coast. The 15 year old, primarily western golf school will be providing golf school instruction at 2 locations on the East Coast in the fall. Look for Myrtle Beach and Fort Lauderdale for openers. Bruce Baird founder and President of the California and Las Vegas Golf Schools, has reunited with Ken Williams in Ft Lauderdale. Ken was a former Director of Golf while in California and is now affiliated with Baird in his Florida Location. Joe Bernat at International Golf Club at Murrell’s Inlet, adjacent to Myrtle Beach will be Director of Golf for the Carolina operations.
Bruce Baird’s California/Las Vegas Golf Schools has four current locations and attracts national and international students. The golf programs consist of 2-3 day sessions as well as individual instruction. The program based on a method developed and refined by Baird’s schools during the past decade teaches the fundamentals through a series of short swing exercises and application of basic principles. This innovative approach simplifies the learning process, and gives a headstart to the students’ success.
While it may seem to be not the best time to open new golf school operations, Baird in a recent interview said, “When events don’t follow your pattern, change the pattern. I have never been a follower of the crowd, and have been successful at following my own instincts. The current economy and doomsday mentality is not the universal golfing picture! Entrepreneurs must be proactive and not give up. Golf remains a major recreational source. While many golf schools have recently fallen by the wayside, which simply means there is room for new activity, especially for those members who are proactive and creative. I intend to expand in anticipation of the improving economy.”
Baird continues, "Some years ago, in a national television interview Pat Summeral asked for my philosophy of business. My answer then 'was to build an organization, based on what you love, work hard to get it right, and then to improve on it.' That is still my plan, and 15 years of successful golf instruction has demonstrated the value of such planning."
Bruce Baird is bringing this experience and diligence of the 15 past years to a new geographic expansion area and is looking forward to that good old southern golf hospitality.
