New Online Travel Service Teams with Elephant Conservation Group

Memohotel, a free online travel organization service, has teamed up with Save the Elephants, a leading elephant conservation and research association, to help save the elephants.

New York, NY, July 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Memohotel will donate $10 to Save the Elephants for every 10 hotels and 20 travelers that register for their free service by September 30, 2009. Their goal is to donate $1000 for elephant research and education by September 30th. Registration for both hotels and travelers is free.

Memohotel's online trip organizer was released at the beginning of the month and allows travelers to create organized trip lists with complete hotel information simply by clicking a button on the hotel's website. The hotel's information is added to their trip list for future reference and travelers can keep notes about each hotel and send and receive messages directly from their trip list.

Memohotel's logo features an elephant and this is what inspired the company to help protect elephants (on the list of endangered species). Save the Elephants is a non-profit organization that has been conducting elephant research for the past 16 years. Poaching and human cultivation of elephant habitats has reduced the elephant population considerably this year. The Save the Elephant team works to sustain the ecological integrity of the places where elephants live, to educate local African communities directly affected by elephant behavior, and to develop a tolerant relationship between the two species.

Memohotel and Save the Elephants will promote the fundraiser entirely online using social media networks like FaceBook and Twitter to spread the news.
