KM&T to Give Advice at Lean Government Event

Coventry, United Kingdom, July 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- A Coventry-based company and UK leader in providing improvement programmes for businesses will be giving advice to senior figures within public sector organisations at a government conference in London.

Simon Champion, the Managing Director of KM&T, is a keynote speaker at the Lean Government event at Central Hall in Westminster on Wednesday, September 30.

He will be addressing the invited audience on how KM&T has successfully introduced “Lean Thinking Systems” into the public and private sectors and will outline their unique approach that has delivered sustainable and financial benefits into this sector.

The methodology uses proven tools and techniques which have improved efficiency, safety and financial performance in a vast range of industrial and service sectors across the world.

Champion said: “There is an ongoing and immediate need to reduce public spending whilst improving and maintaining service levels and local government, non-departmental public bodies and the civil service are areas likely to be hit the hardest.

“That means there is an even greater need to streamline these areas and for them to be run as effectively and efficiently as possible.

“Our structured approach will help managers run their departments in a more cost effective way to maximise output and quality whilst using the same or reduced resources.

“It ensures the best practice is being adopted, eliminates wasteful policies and is economical to introduce.

“In today’s financial climate the importance of forward planning can not be underestimated which means that despite the economic uncertainty managers are under greater pressure to make well informed long-term planning decisions.

“We will be holding a masterclass to showcase the success of Lean transformation techniques which are relevant to any type of industry particularly the public sector.

“We hope delegates will leave the conference with a great deal to think about and will review how they run their organisations.”
