Sonitrol Pacific Detection Yields Arrest of School Vandals
Tacoma, WA, July 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Police arrested three people suspected of breaking into a Washington high school to vandalize it July 12 after Sonitrol Pacific detected threatening activity.
Sonitrol Pacific Operator Tara Fulmer received an activation from the school’s security system and called the school district’s guard service to investigate.
The security guard arrived at the school just as three people jumped into a car and sped away. He gave responding police officers a thorough description of the vehicle. Police officers located the vehicle, pulled it over and took the three suspects into custody.
Since 1978, Sonitrol Pacific electronic security detections have led to the arrest of more than 5,130 suspects. The company designs systems with the goal of catching criminals as early as possible and 25 percent of the time, police arrive before a suspect can get inside a facility.
