Announcing the beta launch of GeoChirp, Avneet Sethi, President Products and Services said, “GeoChirp enables you to find people Twittering for similar interests within a radius of up to 50 miles from any chosen location. You can simply type in the keyword you want to search about and GeoChirp will show all the users who have been using that keyword in their tweets, within a defined radius. Since it is a free service, anyone can make use of it. By default GeoChirp takes your existing location, but you can easily change the location to any place on Earth and start GeoChirping.”
Designed for the convenience of Tweeples, GeoChirp acts as a platform to connect with people with similar inclinations.
Users can Log in on GeoChirp by using their Twitter accounts. A profile on GeoChirp will allow them to reply to other twitterers, retweet an update (an option that is not available on Twitter) and also follow them on Twitter. GeoChirp also features Autorefresh that enables users to view new tweets being added regularly. A Google Map is also available on GeoChirp for assistance.
