The Traveling iPod: Radial 50 Shares Its App with Non-iPhone Users

Radial 50, an innovative brick-breaker game for the iPhone and iPod Touch, launches The Traveling iPod, which brings an iPod Touch to those who want to play the game but lack the right mobile device.

Saint Louis, MO, July 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Radial 50, a new application in the iTunes App Store, announces the launch of its new program, The Traveling iPod. Radial 50 will send, via mail, an iPod Touch to anyone who would like to experience the game but does not have a device on which to play it. Participants will receive the iPod Touch, complete with the full version of Radial 50 already downloaded, and be able to keep it for one week, then send it back. (All expenses are paid by Radial 50.)

“The Traveling iPod is a brand new way to make our iPhone game accessible to everyone--regardless of the mobile device he or she uses,” said Jordan Koene, co-founder of Roundthird, Radial 50’s creator. “We’re so sure that people will like our game, we want them to try it--no matter what!”

The Traveling iPod program will accommodate media, technology and game reviewers throughout the United States who sign up to participate on Radial 50’s website: http://www.radial50.com/the-traveling-ipod. The program begins immediately and will last indefinitely, depending on the response from participants.

About Radial 50 (http://www.radial50.com)
Radial 50 is a new “spin” on the classic Breakout game first introduced on the Atari in 1976. It brings an innovative aspect to the arcade classic by allowing the player to control the paddle and ball around a 360-degree playfield, focusing the gameplay on defeating a central target rather than the often painful chore of eliminating all targets on the gameboard. The game tracks all scores, allowing users to compare their numbers with friends, plus access location-based boards to see how they fare against players in their city, state, and country.
