TMC Pacific Modelworks Saves The Day For Xinnix
Customer Service at Its Finest
Phoenix, AZ, August 30, 2006 --(PR.com)-- If 80 fighter jets were to crash at the same time, the tragedy would be enormous. However, if those jets were scale models, who would care? TMC Pacific Modelworks would. The Scottsdale, Arizona based company, which specializes in creating hand-crafted model replicas of aircraft, boats, and ships, recently shipped 200 F-15 models to Xinnix Inc., an Atlanta-based company which trains mortgage lenders. The executive vice president and co-founder of the company, who is also a former Air Force fighter pilot, was planning to award the top 200 mortgage originators with the models.
When the shipment arrived a few days before the awards ceremony, about 80 of the 200 planes were damaged. Since there was no time to haggle with the shipper about the damages, TMC Pacific Modelworks shifted gears and put its customer service into overdrive. Within hours, company employees were dispatched to Georgia, where they spent the next two days painstakingly repairing the models, which are each valued at over $350.
“While many companies would have told the customer that the situation was a mute one and that replacement planes would arrive at a later date, we choose to take a different approach,” said Graeme Warring, CEO of TMC Pacific Modelworks. “The only option was to get out there and fix the models on site, and that is exactly what we did. The client was ecstatic and is now a self-proclaimed customer for life.”
