About the Book (Excerpts & Info)

Enter the world of AbracaDebra. As a young girl, AbracaDebra and her younger brother, Cian, learned the skills of a master magician and escape artist through working with their father, The Magnificent Morrison. Paul Morrison had achieved worldwide prominence in the art of illusion and escapology, but tragic events caused him to lose his desire to excite others with his dazzling performances. In addition to growing up on stage performing amazing feats of prestidigitation, Deb and Cian grew up on the various outcroppings of rock that sprinkled Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. By the time the siblings reached their early teens, they had perfected most of the climbing routes at Cooper’s Rock, White Rocks, and Seneca Rocks. Their rock climbing abilities were unsurpassed in the region.

Mystery unfolds as the multi-talented siblings attempt a dramatic rescue of two rock climbers who are stranded by an icy storm that has enveloped Seneca Rocks. The rugged nine-hundred and seventy-two feet tall chunk of Tuscarora quartzite was quite challenging to scale even when the weather was good. The rock became more treacherous with its icy glaze. The late fall blizzard of snow and ice turned a potentially dangerous expedition into a struggle against severe hypothermia and death. Strange happenings that have never been explained are brought to the forefront when Deb makes a startling discovery. The snowy mountain rescue stirs long past sorrows and brings Cian and Deb face to face with secrets that will soon be uncovered.

Deftly constructed at 230 pages, AbracaDebra is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Fiction category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, AbracaDebra meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $28.95.

Additionally, AbracaDebra can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers for the maximum trade discount price set by the author in quantities of ten or more from the Outskirts Press wholesale online bookstore at www.outskirtspress.com/buybooks
