California Scenic Rental Company Opens Distribution Center in Evansville, Indiana
Hollywood, CA, August 31, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Grosh Scenic Rentals announced today the opening of a new distribution warehouse in Evansville, Indiana. The warehouse is scheduled to open October 2, 2006. The warehouse will serve as a distribution point to businesses throughout the Midwest, Southeast and East coast.
“We are very excited about this new location.” says Amanda Lindoerfer, Grosh’s Vice President of Marketing. “Since some of our product can be large and heavy, this new facility will allow us to ship primarily via ground instead of by air. Because of this new location, our clients in the East and Midwest could save up to 50% on shipping costs. We will provide quality backdrop and drapery rentals and the most competitive pricing in the industry.” Lindoerfer added.
The company worked with Jim Holderread with Vision-e, Evansville Regional Economic Development Corp., who helped in finding the location of the new warehouse and familiarizing the company with the Evansville area. “This new location is going to be good for the local area as well as Grosh’s customer base.” explains Holderread. “It will create jobs locally and has great potential for future growth as well.” Holderread added.
The new location will be managed by Dexter Russelburg, a native of Evansville. “This is exciting,” says Russelburg, “It’s like a little piece of real Hollywood is coming to Evansville.”
Grosh has provided backdrops or drapery services for movies including: Interview with the Vampire, Austin Powers 3, I Love Lucy, Get Shorty, Funny Girl, Beatle Juice, Back to the Future, That Thing You Do, Imitation of Life, Alfred Hitchcock’s Spellbound and The Greatest Story Ever Told. Musical artists or bands have included: Janet Jackson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Counting Crows, Tom Petty, No Doubt and Beyonce. The company has provided services for clients in Evansville including Jan's School of Dance, Casino Aztar and L&H Events.
The company has also provided services for The Oscars, and the Tony Awards. Grosh also produced several backdrops for popular musicals in the 30's, 40's and 50's.
