SDGA Golf School Teams with Tee It Up Radio
San Diego Golf Academy (SDGA) has signed to sponsor the popular golf radio show Tee It Up Radio. As a sponsor, SDGA will provide golfing expertise and guest golf pros to co-host the Sunday morning talk show.
Scottsdale, AZ, August 31, 2006 --(PR.com)-- San Diego Golf Academy (SDGA), the nation's oldest and most respected golf school, has teamed with Tee It Up Radio, the longest-running golf radio show in the nation, as a sponsor and an on-air provider of golf expertise.
Broadcast for over 10 years across the U.S. and Canada on Sundays, 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. EST, Tee It Up Radio has a devoted listener base of golf enthusiasts as well as a growing family of sponsors and affiliate radio stations.
SDGA will not only sponsor the Sunday show on a regular basis, but will also co-sponsor remote broadcasts of golf tournaments throughout the year, such as the Mark Christopher Charity Classic and the Samsung Invitational. In addition, SDGA golf professionals will co-host selected installments of the show (beginning the third Sunday in November), and field listeners' call-in questions. SDGA golf pros will also provide golf tips that will be featured prominently on the Tee It Up Show Web site.
The three regular hosts of Tee It Up Radio are: Golf Historian Kevin Smith, who brings his wide knowledge of the game of golf to the microphone; Al Gottfried, CEO of Fourteenth Colony Productions (Tee It Up Radio's parent company) and amateur to the game, who contributes his opinion on the week's hot topics; and Fourteenth Colony's President Adam Gottfried, who offers his colorful insights.
The hosts of the “Tee It Up Show” are often joined by nationally recognized golf gurus who add their unique perspectives to the golf discussion. SDGA will provide such expertise from time to time as part of its contribution to the broadcast.
SDGA's 16-month Associate Degree program is comprised of a combined curriculum of golf instruction and business management. The program is designed to provide graduates with the education required to manage, or assist in the management of, all golf complex operations, including the competence to teach golf techniques. The school's scheduling allows for serious study of the golf business as well as the golf game.
With almost 6,000 graduates, SDGA has alumni working in all aspects of the golf industry, including Teaching Professionals, General Managers, Manufacturer's Reps, Superintendents and Head Golf Pros. SDGA has a worldwide reputation as an employee resource for the golf industry. SDGA consistently places over 85% of graduates through the efforts of its campus placement directors, as well as its affiliated employment resource company, GolFutures.
