South Coast Bayern Opens Milk Cup 2009
Coleraine, Ireland, July 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- South Coast Bayern Futbol Club, the premier international youth soccer organization in Orange County California, today announced that their boy's under 17 team competed in and emerged victorious in their initial 2009 Milk Cup match in Northern Ireland.
The Milk Cup is one of the most prestigious international youth soccer tournaments in the world. South Coast Bayern who is returning for their third consecutive time to the annual event is again the only United States based youth soccer club to receive an invitation. The only other U.S. based team is the US National under 19 team. Last year South Coast Bayern marched to the Milk Cup final with an impressive set of wins over their international competitors. Their only roadblock to the championship was a talented Manchester United team.
The team won their first pool match over Watford FC today by a score of 1-0 in a hard fought match. Coach Vishtasp Farhadi ("Coach V") was proud of the teams determination and guts as they did not let down the SC Bayern faithful.
South Coast Bayern returns to this year's 2009 Milk Cup with a very talented squad of courageous young men. The impressive roster includes: Benjamin Gold (Woodland Hills, CA), Ryan Malden (Agoura, CA), Tyler Evans (San Diego, CA), Corey Hostetter (Alta Loma, CA), James Roe (Brea, CA), Oscar Carillo (Los Angeles, CA), Jacob Bechtel (Sammamish, WA), Aidan Leonard (Camarillo, CA), Jeffrey Koval (Camarillo, CA), Eddie Manella (Los Angeles, CA), Alec Sundly (Dana Point, CA), Hector Lopez (Fullerton, CA), Jimmy Bochunita (Anaheim, CA), Trey James (Ramona, CA), Andrew Jean-Baptiste (Brentwood, NY), Reed McKenna (San Diego, CA), and Keon Parsa (West Hills, CA)
