Richard Stroiney Realized His Goal of Business Ownership by Joining the ActionCOACH Franchise
Stroiney will help the Northern Connecticut market by helping small and medium businesses grow.
Las Vegas, NV, July 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Richard Stroiney began evaluating various business opportunities to realize his goal of owning a small business before his 40th birthday. It is during this time that he called his former colleague Kevin Jackson – who also owns an ActionCOACH franchisee – to learn more about the company.
“I was in the process of setting up a consulting company. After attending one of ActionCOACH’s ‘Five Ways’ seminars, I was convinced the ActionCOACH model was a straight-forward and effective method to help improve businesses,” he said.
As a result of the positive feedback he received from Jackson regarding the training and organizational support for Coaches at Brad Sugars’ ActionCOACH franchise, he realized this involved more than just buying a franchise system.
“This opportunity requires the ongoing focus of the team to support each other and grow the business,” he said. “I also recognized the viability of this opportunity in the Northern Connecticut market, where services like those provided by the ActionCOACH franchise would offer tremendous possibilities for small and medium-sized business owners.”
Master Licensees Steve Brock and Tom Maier welcomed Stroiney to their ActionCOACH team in Connecticut. Stroiney’s office will be located in Enfield, covering much of Northern Connecticut, especially the Hartford County and the Springfield, Massachusetts markets.
Prior to becoming an ActionCOACH, Stroiney held a number of positions with top tier companies, focusing on performance improvements, driving customer satisfaction and developing market strategies for various products and services. He also has over ten years experience coaching sales and marketing professionals in improving pricing and profitability within the corporate environment.
A champion of education, Stroiney has focused on improving his business knowledge through continuing education, earning a Master of Science in Strategic Management from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Seton Hall University. Stroiney also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
The combination of his educational background and business knowledge and skills allowed Stroiney to excel in his previous careers.
Stroiney was responsible for improving profitability and market share of nearly $3B in commercial HVAC business through pricing and marketing strategies. He developed several programs and process improvements that benefited his employers with more than $20 million in revenue and sales opportunities. He also developed and implemented numerous pricing actions to offset costs and improve overall profitability.
In his past roles, Stroiney has informally taken on the part of a consultant/coach in helping his teams understand the issues and find the right solution to not only help support their customers’ needs but also business profitability and growth.
When he first came into contact with ActionCOACH, Stroiney was impressed by the organization.
“My first impression of this franchise was that it had a number of great tools and resources, which can be leveraged for nearly all businesses,” he said. “ActionCOACH will also help me expand my own business ventures in the next three to seven years."
Stroiney is a member of the North Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. He also actively volunteers his time with youth sports and scouts, holding the positions of Committee Chairman and Cubmaster within his son’s Cub Scout Pack.
“Through leadership and solid support from other parent volunteers, we have put the Cub Scout Pack in a solid financial position. We are now able to help less fortunate boys pay for scouting, camping, and other scout activities,” he said. “Volunteering my time and talents is one way that I am able to give back to the community.”
ActionCOACH is the world’s number one business coaching and executive coaching firm, with more than 1,000 offices in 26 countries. To learn more, go to actioncoach.com.
