Missing Maryland Man 2nd Anniversary, Still No Word - Parents Hold Out Hope for Some Sign of Their Missing Son
Wilmington, NC, July 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Community United Effort (CUE) Center for Missing Persons is still seeking information concerning the whereabouts of missing man, John Morris Jr. who was last seen by a neighbor standing at the end of his residence driveway the afternoon of July 30, 2007; John has not been seen or heard from since. His vehicle, 1988 S-10 Chevy, New Jersey tag number FTH – 73Z remained parked at his home.
Mr. Morris has several distinctive identification facts about him, such as tattoos; right forearm – some sort of cat look a like, left shoulder – scorpion and scars on his right leg calf with a previous childhood broken ankle; his nose was cosmetically repair after an injury and he has caps on his front teeth. When John disappeared he suffered from eczema on and about his left ankle; his left ear is pierced.
John is a talented artist who is very outgoing and makes friends easily. He has in the past worked as a landscaper and handyman. He is also a glazier who can repair broken car windows.
John Morris had recently returned to Maryland after a weeklong trip to New Jersey, and he was planning to return after retrieving his belongings and ending a long term relationship.
He last spoke to his mother on July 30, and advised her that somebody was coming to pick him up. Morris, who has attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and a history of depression, sounded distressed during their last telephone conversation, Madeline Morris said. ‘‘He was not like himself,” she said. ‘‘He was angry, depressed and he was having hallucinations.”
“We sit and wait for that call or some sort of information to surface that would help in our son’s case, but even after two years; still nothing”, said John’s mother, Madeline. Madeline writes often to ease her pain as many families of the missing do, an exert from her written poem;
I am a mom who lost a son
I lie awake praying or crying
I wonder if he is alive or dead
Is he alright?
Is he eating or is he cold, maybe he is in danger
Sleep is very hard to come by
Now he's gone out of our lives
There is an emptiness that cannot be explained
I never thought I could feel this way
“This family joins the thousands of others across the nation and are suffering to gain knowledge of their missing loved one; “the numbers of missing adults are staggering” said CUE founder, Monica Caison, “When a family tells you there is something wrong and are concerned about their missing person, we have to listen’, “plain and simple”, she added. “The few that walk away each year cast a shadow of doubt over those that are truly missing adults and cause greatly an unsettling grief for those who are left behind”, CUE’s founder said.
