Nerd of God Welcomes Fans with a Free Software Giveaway
Brunswick, OH, July 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Newly-launched technology website Nerd of God (NoG) is helping beat the summer heat by dispensing some cool prizes. Thanks to several gracious sponsors, NoG is awarding software bundles to ten lucky winners in the NoG Launch Contest, five prize packages to Mac aficionados and five to Windows PC fans — each bundle valued in excess of $200.
What exactly is Nerd of God giving away? Well, Mac winners will receive a copy of Symantec's Norton Internet Security Dual Protection for Mac, Parallels Desktop for Mac, Shirt Pocket's SuperDuper!, Cisco's Network Magic Pro with Mac Add-On, and PopCap Games' Plants vs. Zombies. PC winners will receive a copy of Symantec's Norton 360 Version 3.0, Acronis True Image Home 2009, Cisco's Network Magic Pro, Telltale Games' Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures: Fright of the Bumblebees and PopCap' Plants vs. Zombies.
All that’s required to enter is to register at Nerd of God and fill out the Official Contest Entry Form. Click the "Submit" button when done, and that's it. Of course, as usual, entrants must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the contest and need to be residents of the United States (except Puerto Rico). No purchase or payments are necessary. The contest is open to anyone who meets the above requirements except Nerd of God staff and contributors, as well as relatives of the same.
And, while a one-entry-per-person limit via the website is imposed, an additional two entries can be gained by providing one’s Facebook and Twitter usernames on the entry form, and connecting to Nerd of God through those networks. Frankly, the NoG staff wants to get word out about the site, and what better way to do it than via the social networks that so many nerds love. As such, those who become a fan of NoG’s Facebook page and provide their Facebook username on the entry form will acquire an extra entry in the contest. Those who follow NoG on Twitter and do likewise will earn an entry, too. That's three chances to win.
The NoG Launch Contest runs from July 28, 2009 through August 28, 2009. All entries must be submitted between those dates to qualify, and winners will be notified by email on or about September 1, 2009. Full contest details are available at Nerd of God (http://nerdofgod.org).
