PAR Picture Exec/Jamaican Actor, Paul Campbell at Belize Film Festival

Jamaican actor, Paul Campbell and director, Adrian Allen, were guests and seminar conductors at the 2009 Belize International Film Festival July 23-28, 2009 taking place through August 2, 2009 at the Bliss Institute in Belize City. They were also there to promote their upcoming film, The Heart of Summer." The festival's aim is to expose the work of filmmakers from the region including Belize, Central America, Mexico, as well as Canada and the USA, and is coordinated by Suzette Zayden

Fort Lauderdale, FL, July 31, 2009 --(PR.com)-- While in Belize, Campbell and Allen took time out to visit the youth center (CYDP) and invite the clientele to view some of his films like Shottas, Dancehall Queen, Third World Cop and The Lunatic and have Q&A after. It was a great success and well appreciated. Campbell was focused on his message to the youth to channel their energies acquired through street life into something creative like acting, writing or film making. Like them, he grew up in similar surroundings but chose the theatre instead of the gun.

The pair also got a chance to tour the countryside and managed to see the Maya Temple known as Altun Ha as well as enjoy a bit of cave tubing and hiking. "It was the best thing I've done since I've known myself", Allen says. As to whether Paul Campbell got love, Allen says "Paul Campbell is bigger than some major Hollywood stars here! Everyone, even in the jungle, knows "Mad Max" Paul Campbell.
