HT2's Learning Footprint Calculator Allows Organisations to See if Their Training is Costing the Earth

The environmental cost of training at work is often overlooked but it could represent a significant amount of an organisations carbon emissions. The Learning Footprint calculator is the only tool available that allows users to estimate the carbon cost of their organisations training schedule and to see the reductions that could be made with the introduction of E-learning.

Oxford, United Kingdom, August 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- HT2 today announced that the latest version of its popular Learning Footprint calculator is now available. The tool allows users to estimate the carbon impact of their training activities, visualise the reductions that could be made by using E-Learning and to create a downloadable PDF report of their findings. Free to all users, the calculator is available at www.learningfootprint.com.

By reducing or even eliminating the need to travel for staff training, organisations could see a dramatic reduction in their carbon emissions; what HT2 would term the “Learning Footprint”.

Ben Betts, HT2 Operations Director, commented: “We’re delighted to offer up the next edition of the Learning Footprint calculator to the E-learning community. The environmental saving that E-Learning makes is a significant part of the business case for using E-learning. We believe it is vital that quantifying this impact be made as simple as possible and our calculator tool is the ideal way to do this”.

To try out the Learning Footprint calculator visit to www.learningfootprint.com. Access is free and without the need for registration - the whole process takes just a couple of minutes.
