Business Intelligence Reporting Just Got Better, Faster

mrc recently upgraded m-Power with a new ranking report template to improve business intelligence reporting functionality. Users can now create reports with variable rankings, across multiple dimensions, and specify selection criteria at run-time.

Lombard, IL, August 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Today, software tool developer mrc announces the new ranking report template for m-Power, a software development tool designed for use by developers and non-developers alike. m-Power modernizes legacy applications and rapidly creates web applications such as report-writing, business intelligence, executive dashboards, e-commerce, customer portals, and wireless applications to name a few.

mrc recently upgraded m-Power with a new ranking report template to improve business intelligence functionality. It allows the user to create reports with variable rankings, across multiple dimensions, while specifying any selection criteria at run-time. Here are a few features that make it stand out:

Rank anything and everything: The user is only limited by the amount of data they’re analyzing. Any type or amount of data can be ranked in as much or little detail as necessary. For example, a user could run simple reports, like top performing salespeople. They could also run more detailed reports, such as the worst selling products in Brazil during weekdays in January of 2008.
One application, multiple reports: One of the most powerful aspects of the new ranking report template is the ability to run different reports out of the same application. A user only needs to build one ranking report application for the ability to run any type of report. For instance, the two examples mentioned in the previous point would both be generated in seconds using the same application simply by changing the selection criteria at run-time.
Choice of format: A report can be generated in HTML, Excel, or PDF formats.
Ease of use: mrc designed the ranking report template with usability in mind. A complete ranking report can be built in just a few minutes, which anyone in the company can then use to easily generate any type of report.

“The new ranking report template really is a powerful business intelligence tool,” says Brian Crowley, mrc’s Director of Development. “The all around ease-of-use, from the build process to running reports, just make it all the more valuable.”
