A former British Motorcross and Superbike competitor, Max Ryan stepped into the limelight at an early age. On the heels of a major racing accident the door to racing closed, while commercial modeling opened. From there, the segue into TV and film was a natural transition; finding a niche -- playing the villain. In this capacity, Max selected projects to best showcase his range as an actor and aligned with films that would build a future… a future who’s time has now come.
This week a major announcement will be made regarding Max Ryan starring in a high octane, action thriller that will take him from Miami, USA to Bogota, Colombia, while his first foray in to genre films “Dark Moon Rising” as a devilishly handsome lycanthrope is due out this fall and true story, action drama “Blackline: The Beirut Contract” due Spring 2010. Comic book project, “Max Ryan’s Devilfish Project”, drama “The Hunchback”, and period horror “Hotel Libertine” are all in active development.
Max has worked alongside such actors as Sean Connery, Joan Allen, Jet Li, Steven Segal, Jason Statham, Ian McShane, Peta Wilson, Stuart Townsend, Bridget Fonda, Tyrese Gibson, David Carradine, Tcheky Karyo, Natalie Martinez, Billy Drago, Sid Haig, Robin Shou, Gabrielle Union, Shane West and many more. He never engaged in the media side of the business as, he says, “it was always about the work, but now I realize, that IS part of the work and I am looking forward to learning this new side of the business” though confesses he still freezes up on a red carpet and feels as if he is all “6’s and 7’s” when it comes to live interviews.
