U.S. National Whitewater Center Announces Facebook Fan Promotion
Charlotte, NC, August 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The U.S. National Whitewater Center has announced new Facebook promotions to celebrate the success of their social community.
Since the USNWC created their Facebook fan page six weeks ago, the page has grown exponentially with daily engagement from fans. With the fan count currently at close to 2,500 fans, there will be a 2009 AllSport Season Pass awarded to the 3,000th fan. The USNWC expects to hit that benchmark in the coming week, way ahead of 2008 predictions.
The audience response has been overwhelming as the USNWC has joined and built engaged communities online. Facebook in particular has served as the hub of the USNWC online community.
The USNWC’s fan page offers the unique opportunity to communicate and interact with fans of the Center, providing an open community environment. The page encourages feedback about the Center while providing an outlet for discussion. The USNWC will also be launching prize promotions for Facebook fans.
To encourage fan engagement and media uploads; the USNWC will be offering prizes in celebration of Staff Spirit Week. Spirit Week will be held at the USNWC August 3rd through the 9th, each day with a different costume theme for staff. Each day of the week, fans are urged to post a picture on the USNWC’s Facebook fan page of staff members dressed in costume. The first fan to do so each day will win an AllSport Pass. You must be a fan of the USNWC page to win and pictures should be posted directly to the page wall with a comment.
Staff Spirit Week themes include marauder Monday, tie-dyed Tuesday, Waikiki Wednesday, team Thursday, formal Friday, super hero Saturday and safari Sunday.
