Anuj Thukral Co Founder of Rani Spas Awarded the South Asian Excellence Award
New York, NY, August 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Anuj Thukral, CEO of Rani Spa, an innovative leader and entrepreneur in the Spa and beauty Industry, has been awarded the South Asian Excellence Award in Business by Sony Television, a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment. It was a Gala evening at Cipriani located in New York, honoring the best and the brightest minds in the South Asian American community from 12 different categories on a national level, ranging from business, science, technology and humanitarian causes. Renown Bollywood actress, Pooja Batra, presented Mr. Anuj with the distinguish award. Mr. Anuj was nominated among 400 guests ranging from celebrities, politicians to the nominees from all across America. Along with Mr. Anuj Thukral, in the category of the business Excellence, there were 2 other nominees. Sony television aired the award in over 120 different countries.
History
Anuj Thukral has and is the inspiration and the vision in front and behind Rani Spas since the beginning. Anuj has been a key partner in the company since the age of eleven, the company he co-founded and gave the name to Rani Creations INC. Rani Spas then known as Rani creations embarked on their first location in 1994 in Floral Park Long Island.
"At ten I used to give out flyers, promote Rani Spa, and be a receptionist, answer phones, take appointments and charge people. At fourteen I was doing all of that and selecting the color of the tiles we should put in our new floors, and at sixteen I was doing all that plus putting policies in place for the entire company while advocating to enhance ambience and raise the bar on image and branding." - Mr. Anuj
Since the opening of the first location in 1994 to his 14th location in 2008 he has never stopped believing in hard work and perseverance. Rani spa pioneered the approach of integrating products and services with Ayurvedic philosophy, which believes in conserving energy, space and matter by balancing environment, health, spirituality and well-being. Today Rani Spas offers everything from Skincare, Hair care, Diet Consultation, Ayurvedic lifestyle, Make-up and skin management. Rani spas have become synonymous with quality service and loyal clientele. In addition, Anuj is the strategist behind the Rani Cosmetics line, sold under Rani, Anuj and Atina brands, which he launched in 2002 at Age 19. In the next two years Rani Spa is dedicated to work with nearly eight non-profit organizations on a regional and national level to provide them with tools and services to look good, because when you look good you feel good, all part of the American rebuilding movement.
