Fowler Software Design Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary by Looking Ahead to the Future of Technology and Education
Denver, CO, August 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Denver-based custom software development company, Fowler Software Design, celebrated 25 years of challenges, growth and success by looking ahead to the future of its industry and putting its support behind a great educational organization.
On Thursday, July 23, Fowler Software welcomed over 150 special guests, including clients, business partners and friends, to help them celebrate a milestone in their history – 25 Years. The focus has always been on quality work and being a partner with their clients, making them more able and more productive to meet their growth and expansion goals. Mayor John Hickenlooper, who was on hand to help toast the evening, remarked “As I understand it, Fowler Software Design can do anything on Earth that software has to have done.”
The other part of the event focused on OpenWorld Learning, a non-profit organization that uses technology and peer teaching to help children in 3rd through 8th grades develop leadership skills and a love for learning. Fowler Software hosted a silent auction and student presentations to help raise money for the organization that currently serves 700 students with their innovative and successful after-school program. Mayor Hickenlooper said “What [OpenWorld Learning] does so splendidly is they ignite a spark for learning, [and] those kids they touch go out and touch other kids.”
The rest of the evening was filled with great food and décor provided by Serendipity Catering and Allwell Rents.
In total, more than $7,500 was donated, including product donations for the silent auction, refurbished computers from Luminous Recycling, and a generous portion of the food. “This was just the beginning. Look for next year’s fundraising event to double in size in every way,” says U.B. Ciminieri, Vice President of Public Relations for Fowler Software Design. “We can’t thank enough all the help and support we received, not only from our staff, but from OpenWorld Learning and from the Denver School of Science and Technology, who hosted the event at their location in Stapleton.”
