Iberostar to Deploy Online Food Hygiene Tool in 29 Hotels

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is deploying Check Safety First's E-Cristal hygiene, health and safety risk management audit system throughout 29 of its hotels.

Berkshire, United Kingdom, August 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is deploying Check Safety First's E-Cristal hygiene, health and safety risk management audit system throughout 29 of its hotels. The contract will cover hotels in Croatia, Greece, Morocco, Montenegro, Turkey, Tunisia, and Bulgaria.

The hotel chain will be using E-Cristal’s full functionality to standardise, manage and improve food hygiene standards in all hotels across the seven territories. The system will be supported by monthly unannounced audits and ongoing advice to ensure hotels are compliant with the Cristal Mark, Check Safety First's standard for health and safety developed in accordance with World Health Organisation guidelines.

"Iberostar Hotels & Resorts’ properties are spread across several geographical areas which makes delivering one consistent hygiene standard more difficult,” explains Mark Harrington, CEO at Check Safety First. “By implementing E-Cristal, each hotel is provided with a chain-wide template for food hygiene processes, which far exceeds any local legislation that is in place within their individual region.”

Once each hotel within the chain has successfully demonstrated and maintained a high standard of food hygiene using the E-Cristal system it will be listed on the consumer website www.checksafetyfirst.com, the only site to provide the UK’s travelling public with access to a database of venues that have obtained the high standards for their efforts in health and safety.
