The Davidson Companies ranked second in the first statewide listing of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Florida.
St. Augustine, FL, August 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Davidson Companies – Davidson Development, Davidson Realty and Davidson Property Management – ranked second in the first statewide listing of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Florida. The complete list is included in the August issue of Florida Trend.
Established 20 years ago, Davidson Development is most well known as the developer of World Golf Village. Davidson Realty, Inc. and Davidson Property Management, Inc. specialize in World Golf Village and surrounding communities. Combined, the company currently has 45 employees and independent real estate agents.
Created by Florida Trend and Best Companies Group, the Best Companies To Work For in Florida program was endorsed by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals, the Florida Economic Development Council (FEDC), the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, the Florida Society of Association Executives (FSAE) and the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce.
“We are beyond honored to be included in this ranking with some of Florida’s top companies,” said Sherry Davidson, president of Davidson Realty and vice president of Davidson Development. “Our people make our company such a great place to work, so this award is a testament to all of our incredible employees and agents.”
To be considered, companies or government entities had to employ at least 15 workers in Florida and be at least a year old. Participating companies underwent a two-part survey process. The first part evaluated company workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, along with the second part – an employee survey that measured overall satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined final rankings. Companies were not required to pay a participation fee for the online assessment process.
The Davidson Companies recently ranked first place in the Jacksonville Business Journal’s list of Northeast Florida’s Best Places to Work. The company was listed in the small business category in the publication’s annual awards program.
