Icaros de Lumia: a Little Book of Poetry, a Big New Business Model

San Antonio, TX, August 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- With the release of J. Cady Johns' book of poetry, Icaros de Lumia, the newly-formed Lightborne Publishing Group is poised to demonstrate their company's core belief: that true success is measured in what we give, and in how we make the world a better place.

The four founding members are committed to giving as much as they earn, dollar for dollar, and they have created a business model that relies on relationships with focus 501(c)(3) entities. "We hope to create a model that other businesses can duplicate, so that the positive effects of our efforts grow exponentially," said founder and author J. Cady Johns.

Icaros de Lumia, a volume of only 74 pages, embodies the qualities of the group's planned projects. "We will be producing books, cd's, and calendars with an eye for the deeply meaningful, the positive, and the expansive," continued Cady Johns.

The partners at Lightborne have set the bar high: for every dollar they earn, they will donate 50 cents directly to a focus nonprofit organization. "We believe that greed is not a sustainable corporate policy," said Cady Johns, who walked away from the corporate world after surviving a sexual assault two and a half years ago. "Success based on financial gain is a mirage. We are here to prove that there is a better way."

Kelsey Negrete, publisher and partner, has her hands full with partner site proposals. "We will be on mainstream sites, but our focus will remain steady on using our work to benefit others. We are looking forward to working with nonprofit agencies that assist those affected by rape, domestic violence, suicide, and hate crimes."

Icaros de Lumia is currently available at jcadyjohns.com, and will soon be available on focus organization websites. Said distribution manager John Negrete, "Our marketing model is not tested, but tried models are failing left and right. We think we know why. Greed."
