Dublin, Ireland, August 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Worky.com aims to change the face of online recruitment in Ireland.

A new Irish website, Worky.com aims to change the way people hire and get hired. Worky.com aims to capture a significant share of the Irish recruitment industry by migrating people from jobsites and enabling online hiring for employers. However, Worky’s ambitions extend beyond the shores of Ireland as they pledge to take a piece of an estimated global market worth some €500 billion.

Worky.com is essentially a hiring network, with users uploading profiles that include skills, desire to change, salary expectations and location preferences. In turn, Worky.com matches these profiles against a database of jobs uploaded by employers. Worky.com is different to existing jobs sites or traditional recruitment methods. It does not require a CV and allows users to keep their identity hidden, thus preventing possible conflict with current employers. Listing jobs, matching candidates from the database of profiles is free to employers; they pay only to engage with promising candidates. It costs from as little as €25 to engage with a suitable match.

Commenting about his new venture, successful internet entrepreneur Ray Nolan said, “The Internet has revolutionised the way we do business and changed the face of numerous industries. Worky is a game changer, in that it is an entirely new way of hiring staff or getting hired. There are a number of frustrations with existing solutions, particularly with the classified advertising model employed by jobsites. The dissatisfaction felt by candidates and hirers alike prompted the creation of Worky.com.”

“Under Worky’s innovative business model, a company can review applicants’ profiles, and those matched by Worky, and pay only to engage with promising candidates. It’s a success-based model – if I find no-one, I pay nothing. Engaging with someone who fits the bill costs as little as €25. And because Worky matches with people who have already registered profiles, I can headhunt someone from within the database, for the same small fee. I may not even need to advertise a vacancy,” Nolan added.

Worky.com is an entirely new web 2.0 experience. Users fill out profiles directly on the site. All profiles are anonymous, unless the user wants to reveal their identity, which encourages potential employees to join the website in order to position themselves to be headhunted. Users can change settings on their profile to indicate whether they are actively looking for employment, whether they would be open to discussing employment opportunities or if they are not interested in moving at this time. They can also set salary expectations.

When users search for jobs, the user interface shows them what opportunities are available based on their skillset and on where they would like to work. As a result they can easily navigate all relevant jobs, rather than searching through online classifieds for something that might suit.

Employers can browse profiles for free in order to find the right candidate for the job. They pay €25 to approach individuals, potentially saving thousands on recruitment fees which might apply. Employers purchase credits and only pay to approach users they wish to headhunt, or applicants the see as promising. Worky.com also makes the recruitment process much more efficient as it handles the communication with prospective hires, and allows hirers to swiftly navigate through a number of profiles within a few minutes.

The site, which launched in May 2009 is proving immensely popular with candidates and employers who, in the current economic climate are under pressure to seek out more cost effective ways of managing their recruitment budgets.
