Nation’s Leading Travel Magazine expands to the Black Hills
Rapid City, SD, September 05, 2006 --(PR.com)-- America’s most popular travel magazine, Travelhost, has expanded their family of magazines to include the Black Hills of South Dakota. The 37-year old company currently publishes magazines in more than 150 markets across the United States.
The glossy 56-page Black Hills edition will feature dining, history, recreation, real estate, shopping and other points of interest in Rapid City, Hot Springs, Custer, Hill City, Keystone, Spearfish, Deadwood, Sturgis and the entire Black Hills region.
The first edition will be published in November 2006. Gregg Fischer, a Rapid City native, was chosen as Associate Publisher. He is responsible for editorial content, advertising, marketing, operations and distribution of the magazine. Fischer, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, has more than 16 years of experience in marketing, communications and advertising.
Previously, Fischer was Vice President of Marketing for an insurance company in New Orleans. He left New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and returned to the Black Hills earlier this summer.
“I’m happy to be back home. The Black Hills is one of the most pristine and fun destinations in the country,” says Fischer, “and it is time to bring a magazine of this caliber to the area.”
“Travelhost has a long history of serving the traveler. I look forward to helping local businesses reach all types of travelers whether they are here for leisure, business, shopping, or visiting friends and family,” Fischer added.
