ITV was started in 2005 to provide an accessible medium for independent artists to reach large audiences with out the help of major record labels, movie, and television studios. ITV’s core audience is 18 to 34 year old male’s and female’s with a primary focus on the 21 to 27 year old market. There are nine separate television shows that make up ITV. The genres are Live Music, Sports, Nightlife, Fashion, Comedy, Video Games, Art, Restaurants, and Short Films. The Executive Producer, Darran Bruce, has been involved in film and television production for over 26 years, starting at the age of six when his father bought one of the first VHS cameras on the market in the early 80’s. Making several short films through his childhood, Mr. Bruce got his first break working on a local Hip-Hop television show “The CoolOut Network” in Western Washington in 1992. After eight years and numerous film and television projects Mr. Bruce decided to form his own television series dedicated to helping independent artists reach larger audiences. In Jan. 2005 the pilot episodes for ITV were produced and by May were approved on ten FOX stations in the Pacific Northwest. When asked “How did you make ITV a reality?” Mr. Bruce simply replied, “I just picked up the phone and started calling people.”
