Groundbreaking Online Wedding Software Sets a New Standard
Announcing the arrival of My Wedding Workbook, the next-generation online wedding planner that finally gives the do-it-yourself bride all the tools she needs in one place to organize all her wedding details. After a successful beta launch that saw more than 7,000 brides sign up, My Wedding Workbook is set to offer brides a fully integrated and comprehensive set of planning tools not quite like anything else available.
Denver, CO, August 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- For years, do-it-yourself brides have juggled with an assortment of binders, spreadsheets, software and online tools in an effort to stay organized. But a new Web-based resource has arrived that gives brides the complete tool they’ve been waiting for.
My Wedding Workbook fuses Web 2.0 technologies with wedding planning software to offer a set of “smart” online tools that are exhaustive, intuitive and easy-to-use. And, unlike stand-alone worksheets, address books and calculators offered by popular wedding sites, My Wedding Workbook’s tools all work together to provide a level of convenience unmatched by other resources.
Owners Jeff Kear and Steven Feingertz decided early on to make My Wedding Workbook’s planning tools free to all users, and the site’s early appeal is evident in that more than 7,000 brides have signed up for the free service since April of this year, with dozens more registering every day.
“We built My Wedding Workbook for every type of bride, from the one who wants a small, intimate ceremony to bridezilla,” says Kear. “That meant we had to create a comprehensive resource that covers every wedding-related event and every conceivable detail. It took lots of work and research, but now brides finally have one safe, organized place to manage all their information, from their engagement party and bridal shower to their ceremony, reception and honeymoon.”
One quick peek into My Wedding Workbook and brides will find a place to track even the smallest of details, like their bridesmaids’ luncheon caterer, out-of-town guest hotels and groomsmen’s tux measurements. It also features a comprehensive guest list manager, budget planner, RSVP/gift/thank you tracker, seating arrangement planner, vendor manager and a task calendar.
But what really sets it apart is that if a bride records details in one area, the Workbook connects the dots across all the other relevant areas.
“For instance, if a bride types in her deposit and payment due for her wedding dress in the budget area, those details also show up in the wedding attire area as well as on her task calendar,” says Kear. “Or if she adds her best friend from out-of-town to the master guest list along with that guest’s flight, lodging and transportation information, our Workbook will include that guest’s arrival and departure dates on the task calendar and gives the bride the ability to add that guest to the invitee list for any event. Brides will never again have to double enter any detail.”
My Wedding Workbook’s task calendar also one-ups traditional online calendars, says Kear. “It not only shows every deadline, due date and event a bride has entered into the Workbook, but it also lets her add personal tasks and presents a list of suggested tasks every month that are based on how far out she is from her wedding day. And she can set email alerts to remind her of upcoming appointments and due dates.”
So far, the feedback on the site has been nothing less than glowing.
“This is absolutely the most awesome website that I have ever seen!” said site user R.S. Cagle of Nashville, TN. “Last night, I even found a tab for welcome baskets needed. Wow! Someone thought of everything.”
Erinn Ryan, who writes the bridal blog Behind the Knot, commented about the site’s convenience, saying, “If you are a bride like myself, you could spend hours making a pretty Excel sheet for your guest list. However, you could be saving so much time and frustration by simply registering an account with My Wedding Workbook and it's all there for you. I highly suggest you check out My Wedding Workbook.”
