Software Innovation conducted an exhaustive evaluation of SCM tools and single-vendor ALM tool suites that included Microsoft Team Foundation, Perforce, and MKS. AccuRev was selected for its advanced visualization and process automation, and innovative approach to multiple, parallel software release management. AccuRev will replace Software Innovation’s existing file-based SCM tool, Microsoft Visual SourceSafe (VSS).
Upgrading to AccuRev will enhance productivity throughout the Software Innovation development organization and provide management and developers with greater visibility into, and control over, the software development process. AccuRev will also offer increased security, audit-ability, and traceability over all changes to multiple customer releases being developed and maintained in parallel and reduce risk associated with off-line and distributed development work.
AccuRev will be used by Software Innovation developers, QA engineers, and documentation and services specialists to more efficiently manage concurrent development projects for its tailored technology solutions and keep track of specific client code customizations and enhancement requests.
