The Silver Spoon is the brainchild of the famed entrepreneurs Tony DeBerry, Curtis and Corliss Givens. After visiting restaurants, like Justin’s in Atlanta and The 4040 Club in New York, Tony and the Givens brothers married their ideas with what they had seen and developed the concept for their newest venture. The Silver Spoon promises to be elegant, yet vibrant.
The Silver Spoon is located at 6063 Mt. Moriah, in the Appletree Center. The phone number is 365-6881. The restaurant serves their lunch menu from 11 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday. Happy hour is from 5 pm to 8 pm, Monday through Friday. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday until midnight, Fridays and Saturdays until three am. The restaurant charges a $10 cover Friday and Saturday, after 10 pm. Live jazz will be available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Poetry readings will be held on Tuesdays. On Friday and Saturdays, up tempo jazz will be played.
Themed happy hour nights, from 5-8 pm, include: Mellow Mondays ($6 Martinis) and Wine Down Wednesday ($4 glasses of wine). In addition, the restaurant is organizing the Silver Spoon Wine Society. The Society meets on the last Wednesday of each month, from 5-8 pm, for a wine tasting, antipasto selection, feature appetizer and wine education. The cost for the Wine Society is only $25 each month.
