Laurie partnered with a former high school friend, Lorraine Santoli, to launch Family Pride Jewelry. It was over lunch that Lorraine noticed that Laurie was wearing a custom made gold pin with four letters – MSTL. She asked Laurie what the initials meant and Laurie replied, “My Son the Lawyer,” then launching into the whole story as to her son’s journey through law school. Lorraine responded with, “What a great concept!” and within weeks, Family Pride Jewelry was born.
All Family Pride Jewelry pieces are fine jewelry that can be customized in 14k Gold, Sterling Silver or gemstones with personalized relationship and profession initials. “The first and the third of the four letters, ‘M’ and ‘T’ for ‘My’ and ‘The’ are stationary,” Laurie explained. “The person purchasing the piece customizes the second letter which stands for the relationship, for example, "S" for son or "D" for Daughter" and the fourth letter that represents the profession, i.e., "D" for Doctor or "L" for Lawyer. Put them all together and you have "My Son the Doctor" or "My Daughter the Lawyer" or whatever you relationship and occupation you choose. It's that simple!”
