01 Communique Adds Child Monitoring and Control Features to New Release of I’m InTouch

Toronto, Canada, September 07, 2006 --(PR.com)-- 01 Communique Laboratory Inc. (TSX: ONE - www.01com.com), today announced a new release of its remote access service, I’m InTouch. With I’m InTouch Version 5.5, users can install I’m InTouch in stealth mode, and implement it on their home computer as a child monitoring tool. Stealth mode provides parents with the ability to control their child’s computer and Internet activities, regardless of whether the parent is home or not. 

When I’m InTouch is running in stealth mode, parents can periodically log in and view what their children are doing on the home computer, without alerting their child. “I’m InTouch’s stealth mode feature was implemented as a direct consequence of feedback from our users, who are finding new and innovative ways of utilizing remote access software, ” says Andrew Cheung, President and CEO of 01 Communique. “Although the Internet is a useful tool for communications, to not make provisions for the safety of one’s children can have severe consequences. Reactive control is no longer sufficient; parents are proactively discussing prevalent online threats with their children, and are establishing rules of acceptable online conduct. I’m InTouch can assist parents in ensuring that their children are adhering to these rules.” 

Another new feature included in I’m InTouch Version 5.5 is folder transfer. Users can now copy entire folders across computers, by dragging and dropping folders between the two computers. Also, Pocket PC users running Windows Mobile 5.0 can securely login to their PC running I’m InTouch to remotely control their PC’s desktop, use their proprietary business applications, send and receive email and access their networks. Each session is encrypted with 128-bit SSL end-to-end encryption to ensure protection of all data.
