The Denver Tattoo Convention Brings Body Art and Circus Style Family Fun Together for It’s Second Year

The Denver tattoo scene is growing at a pace that demands attention. Phantom 8 Tattoo will once again be presenting the Denver Tattoo Convention. Building on the success of the 2008 this years convention will be taking it to the next level with more space, body modification artists of the highest caliber, bigger entertainment, expanded ECO-education, eclectic and exotic wares, and affordable family friendly fun.

Denver, CO, August 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- September 5th, 6th, and 7th, the Denver Tattoo Convention seeks to add a little edge to Labor Day weekend. Colorado’s premier convention returns to take over the beautiful downtown Sheraton Hotel, 1550 Court Place, Denver, CO 80202. Denver’s best body modification artists join others who have traveled from all over the US to show off and sell their art and services. The theme of the convention is the Museum of Skin, a multi-media exhibit that allowed visitors to trace the history of tattooing from its colorful beginning, to modern day style and culture.

Vaudeville celebrities, The Handsome Little Devils and the Squirm Burpee Circus will thrill attendees. Canons, fire, love, villains, dance, and music all come together in a power packed show. Kids will find their inner artist at the “Kidd’s Corral”. A gallery of the most stunning local art that the tattoo industry has to offer will be presented along side a kite themed art show. A live art project will be created on stage then auctioned off at the end of the convention. Beats by “Tabla Dave” will fill the air. Competitions take place throughout the day, including the exciting tattoo of the day award. Seminars on the practices, techniques and history of tattooing will be presented. Multiple local vendors will be selling their exotic wares and services, they believe strongly in building a strong local economy.

The Denver Tattoo Convention is the first officially “green” tattoo convention. Comprised of convention specific measures such as carbon offset, eco-conscious product replacement, and recycling, as well as a broader campaign educating the tattoo industry and the public about measures that can be taken in order to preserve this planet and thus, this art form.
