Rhea Silvia Release Debut Album; "When The Spotlight Shines Upon You"
“When The Spotlight Shines Upon You” - Debut album released by award winning band from Pennsylvania.
York, PA, August 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Pennsylvania based rock band, Rhea Silvia, is proud to announce the release of their highly anticipated debut album; “When The Spotlight Shines Upon You”.
One of the tracks, "Medusa Smile," can already be heard on 105.7 WQXA-FM. On June 18, the band was invited into 105.7 The X's studio to personally release their single onto the airwaves. They also performed a live acoustic rendition of the song on the air.
Recorded at Seventh Wave Studio in Harrisburg, PA; “When The Spotlight Shines Upon You” is the end result of a young band proving themselves as one of the strongest new acts out of Tri-State area.
“I’m really proud of us” said lead singer Jason Barshinger. “We've had so many great things said about our live performances, but it's great to have a full-length CD that backs it all up. This recording is something special."
Rhea Silvia held their CD release party at the 717 Music Awards. The show was held at Gullifty’s Underground in Camp Hill, PA on June 6. The 717 Music Awards is open to any musical act based in Central and Eastern Pennsylvania, and the bands are voted by their musical peers and fans. In addition to releasing their new album, Rhea Silvia also picked up three awards, which included: Single of the Year, Best Rock Act, and Artist of the Year.
The progressive 3-peice will continue to perform their award winning music at venues across the Mid Atlantic region. After opening for Warrant in July and The Future Leaders of the World in August, the band is scheduled to perform at the KIPONA festival in Harrisburg, PA on September 7. They will also headline the Keep-A-Breast Music Festival at The Laserdome on August 28, with all proceeds going to the foundation.
