ICF Miami area Charter Chapter is nominated for the ICF Finding Our Voice Award.
Miami, FL, August 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The International Coach Federation (ICF) offers several awards each year to recognize and honor our individual members, chapters, and organizations that have demonstrated a remarkable commitment to advancing the art, science and practice of professional coaching in their community and beyond.
Local chapters are the core community of the coaching profession, providing a voice for coaches in over 170 communities. ICF Chapters have the opportunity to be recognized for their efforts. The Finding our Voice-Marketing/ PR Award recognizes chapters who have created a successful marketing/ PR campaign within their community and given back to their communities through coaching or have successfully raised awareness of coaching in their areas through marketing or public relations efforts during the year.
Nominated for this prestigious award, the Miami area ICF chapter is reinventing itself by aligning efforts to member and community needs. The campaign “Focus on Your Dream: Business Side of Coaching—Expand Your Horizons: Mastering Coaching Competencies” guides our efforts. Upon this theme monthly high-end programs were produced, the website was redesigned, brochures were published, and administration materials created. Events included the “Bridging Passions between ICF coaches and Non-profit Organizations” project with Center On Nonprofit Effectiveness (C-One), powered by Hands On Miami and the United Way that matched up ICF coaches with local leaders of non-profit organizations. Planning and participating in the first South Florida Human Resources Summer Summit and speaking at related association meetings created an awareness of the professional coaching field. The Miami area ICF chapter’s aim is to build a local coaching community resource that creates positive interactive experiences. Having a consistent “look” and message delivered via many routes amplifies the chapter’s voice.
