Steve Orr, a financial management professional for 23 years, will conduct a comprehensive course on the best ways to achieve financial security at Houston Baptist University. The objective is to give practical advice and knowledge about investments, taxes, insurance, estate planning, and to explain the purpose of a written personal financial plan.

The Personal Financial Management Course will be offered as an HBUforLife continuing education class from 6:30pm – 8:30pm on October 13 – November 5, 2009 at Houston Baptist University.
“The objective is to give practical advice and knowledge about investments, taxes, insurance, estate planning, and to explain the purpose of a written personal financial plan. Current emphasis will be given on strategies to rebuild lives and portfolios that may have been impacted negatively by the recent financial downturn,” Steve Orr explained. The Financial Management Workbook will be given to participants and used as the text for the course. A comprehensive Financial Plan will be provided at the option of the student.
