Parker, CO, August 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Rocky Mountain Biodiesel, Colorado's only licensed advanced biofuel producer has announced the opening of it's biodiesel production facility in Parker, Colorado. The facility supplies B100 biodiesel and B99.9 biodiesel to regional fuel distributors and club members. "Biodiesel isn't a pipe dream in Colorado anymore. Rocky Mountain Biodiesel is meeting the demand for quality biofuels with our ASTM specification fuel," said Randall Lichner, Rocky Mountain Biodiesel Chief Operations Officer. "We already help fuel distributors meet their customer demand and help our club members reduce pollution from diesel emissions."

"We selected the Denver market for our biofuel facility because we knew that there were no other plants operating in the state, and that any plans by competition would take months or years to get off the ground due to instability in the financial markets," said Lichner. "It's really a win-win situation. As the only producer in Colorado, we can dominate the market for locally-produced advanced biofuel, priced competitively with petroleum diesel and consumers in the region can save money and reduce pollution at the same time."

Rocky Mountain Biodiesel produces biofuel from locally produced waste vegetable oil, diverting it from the landfill and municipal waste treatment plants. Rocky Mountain Biodiesel uses state-of-the-art advanced biofuel processing technology designed, built and tested at the Parker, Colorado facility to reduce the potential for lengthy system outages. "When we decided to begin refining advanced biofuel here in Colorado, we made the decision early to use off-the-shelf components produced by American companies to reduce the possibility that we would have to wait for parts from Europe or China to get the plant back online if there was a problem," said Lichner.

Rocky Mountain Biodiesel club memberships are available to consumers at the Parker facility for $20 annually. The current club price for B99.9 biodiesel is $2.30 per gallon, priced at or below current diesel prices. The facility is located at 18584 Longs Way, Unit C-2, Parker Colorado, 80134. Rocky Mountain Biodiesel Membership Card application and facility hours are posted at the Rocky Mountain Biodiesel website at http://www.rockymountainbiodiesel.net.
