FPA Attends CompTIA's Breakaway 2009

(FPA), the leading IT Services and Support firm in the Los Angeles area, recently attended CompTIA’s Breakaway 2009 event in Las Vegas, Nevada. The CompTIA event brought together IT service providers, industry experts, resellers, and distributors for three days of workshops, lectures, and conferences aimed at arming attendees with the latest industry insights. CompTIA is a non-profit organization known for its IT certifications, education, and research offerings.
Craig Pollack, Co-Founder and CTO, who attended the conference and joined in on a number of the sessions, provided key insight into the event, "While the discussion topics ranged from the future of cloud computing and the SaaS delivery model to the overall state of SMB technology, we also covered topics such as industry trends and reviewed best practices to improve our service delivery methodologies. The intended purpose of our attending was for us was to find significant and meaningful ways to improve the service delivery of our firm. During our time there, while we were able to update our knowledge within the industry we were also able to develop new relationships with various partners as well as develop more meaningful ones with some existing partners. We also had an opportunity to test and demo many of the "bleeding edge" tools that will improve our technical capabilities around our Managed Services offerings. The value of attending this show has been incredible and will ultimately improve the quality of our service and relationships with our clients. Also, opportunities to hear business leaders such as Patrick Lencioni share his experiences and views on effective leadership and management, really help provide ideas for taking our own operations to the next level."
This year, over one thousand IT industry analysts, service representatives, and media staff were expected to attend the event between August 3rd and 6th at the Mirage hotel in Las Vegas.
