Comedy To Go, Inc.; A New Comedy Promotion Company for Comedians by Comedians
North Babylon, NY, August 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Comedy To Go, Inc may be the new kid on the block in the comedy arena but that has not stopped them from becoming a tour de force in comedy promotion. Formed in the early part of 2009 Comedy To Go is the creation of Mike Parenti a corporate business man married for over 19 years with 3 children and Keith Godwin a recently married U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran. Definitely a great combination for hours and hours of great material.
Comedy To Go, started out by promoting open mic nights at Chesterfield’s a lounge in Huntington, NY. An open mic night is an event where new comics can try out their material before going before a regular audience. Through these events Comedy To Go was able to procure a roster of great new talent to perform at their regular shows they produce. Currently Comedy To Go produces regular monthly shows at the Holiday Inn in Carle Place, NY as well as a contest to find Long Island’s Best New Comedian which is run through McGuire’s Comedy Club in Bohemia, NY.
Unlike traditional comedy shows where there are usually two or three comics performing, most Comedy To Go, shows feature five or six new comics and a main headliner. This format provides for a great variety of different material and keeps their shows lively and entertaining. If you are lucky enough to get into one of their always sold out shows at the Holiday Inn in Carle Place make sure you try their Spinach & Artichoke Dip.
Between their monthly shows at the Holiday Inn, Comedy To Go, Inc. is busy producing numerous charity shows and fundraisers as well as currently helping to run the comedy shows at Samantha’s Lil Bit of Heaven a ministry in East Northport, NY which provides the almost unheard of format called “Squeaky Clean Comedy” making Comedy To Go one of the few groups that is most definitely suited for audiences of all ages.
Some of their seasoned headliners include Dr. Harry Friedman a twenty year veteran of comedy who definitely can fill your prescription for humor, John Larocchia a retired New York Fire Fighter who has been featured on “The View” and Russ Gerard another long time comedy veteran who is new to Comedy To Go but kept the audience in laughter throughout his entire routine.
At the moment Comedy To Go, Inc is producing an all new comedy tour for the world famous comedian Jackie Mason. At the moment there are five venues booked for his show and possibly more to be added. Long Island residents may enjoy his performance at the Tilles Center located on the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Greenvale.
