San Francisco Actor Pledges to Refund Ticket Cost to Anyone Dissatisfied with His Performance

San Francisco, CA, August 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Michael Wayne Rice Promises “Money Back Guarantee” out of own pocket to anyone feeling he was not “entertaining, bold, believable.”

San Francisco Bay Area actor Michael Wayne Rice has thrown down the gauntlet to all audience members who come to see him perform. Pledging a “money-back guarantee,” the actor is prepared to refund the cost of tickets to anyone who feels his performance was lacking. The refund will be from Mr. Rice himself and not involve the producing theatre, he explains.

Mr. Rice has just closed a run as Trigorin in the Shakespeare’s Associates production of Chekhov’s The Seagull in Livermore, CA. He was previously seen in William A. Parker’s Waitin’ 2 End Hell at the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre in San Francisco. Audiences were enthusiastic about both productions and about Mr. Rice’s performances, encouraging him to go forward with the “money-back guarantee,” an idea he has had for several years.

“I create, sculpt, and deliver signature character pieces for the stage that are entertaining, bold, and believable,” states Mr. Rice. “If a patron comes to a show and does not believe I was entertaining, bold, and believable, I will refund their money,” he says.

Michael Wayne Rice can be seen in a series of more than 40 v-blogs, or vignettes, at YouReallyShouldBeFollowingMe.com. He created the web site and the vignettes to “chronicle my journey to the top.”

The classically trained Rice is possibly one of the first performers to document, on video and in real time, an actor struggling to “make it” on pure talent and perseverance. His v-blog vignettes chronicle his stage successes…his portrayal of characters like rapper Notorious B.I.G…. his dismay at discovering his car stolen from a parking lot at Borders Books.

Rice’s refund offer is part of a larger program for his career, he states.

Three very specific goals

“I have three very specific goals:

I will be considered one of the best actors in the world.

I will be considered the best black actor ever

I will make the theatre cool again.”

Michael Wayne Rice invites his audience to follow along with him as he achieves his goals.

“Right now I have a marketing campaign on Facebook in which I have created special groups that get to interact with me on my rise,” he says.

“I have also devised ways in which I get paid handsomely by theatres while bringing them a new demographic of customers which will ultimately allow them to make ‘serious money’,” Rice promises.

“I don’t think there’s an actor out there who has made the predictions that I have made.” - Michael Wayne Rice
