Verndale Named by Inc. Magazine Among Fastest-Growing Private Companies
Verndale is named one of the nations fastest growing private companies by Inc. Magazine for the 3rd consecutive year.
Boston, MA, August 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Inc. magazine named Verndale, a leading Internet consultancy, as the nation’s 2,464 fastest-growing private company. The award recognizes Verndale’s ability to generate robust revenue while managing a growing business and developing successful business strategies. This is the third consecutive year that Verndale has been recognized in the Inc. 5000.
Verndale ranked on the Inc. 5000 list based on information gathered and assessed by Inc. magazine researchers that detailed the company’s percentage revenue growth from 2005-2008. The Inc. 5000 is an expansion of the Inc. 500, which Inc. introduced in 1982. Verndale will be acknowledged at the Inc. 500/5000 awards ceremony the weekend of September 23 in Washington, D.C.
“We are honored to be recognized among the nation’s elite private companies,” said Joe Zarrett, President of Verndale. "Verndale’s growth is directly attributable to the talent and commitment of our team and the growing list of clients that entrust us with their business.”
“Savvy trend spotters and those who invest in private companies know that the Inc. 5000 is the best place to find out about young companies that are achieving success through a wide variety of unprecedented business models, as well as older private companies that are still expanding at an impressive rate,” said Inc. 5000 project manager Jim Melloan. “That’s why our list is so eagerly anticipated every year.”
The 2009 Inc. 5000 serves as a unique report card on the U.S. economy. Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased to $214 billion, up $29 billion from last year, with a median three-year growth rate of 126 percent. The Inc. 5000 are responsible for creating more than 1 million jobs since their founding, making the list perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing companies can have on the economy. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found on Inc.com.
