Non-Profits Leading Other Employers with Salary Increases

Scottsdale, AZ, August 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- WageWatch, Inc. has released the Greater Delaware Valley Non-Profit Compensation Survey results online. The timing is ideal for large and small non-profit organizations that are in need of local and accurate wage data to maintain a strong, post-recession workforce.

According to the data from the Non-Profit Survey, the average budget increase is 2.8% for management and all other employees, despite the current economic challenges. Compared to the 1.9% increase reported for the hospitality and other industries, non-profits are not cutting back their pay increase budgets as much as other employers. This result shows the desire for non-profit Executives, Directors, and Human Resource professionals to ensure they retain their workforce.

WageWatch surveys over 100 positions within the non-profit industry, including top executive, management, and entry-level positions. The report includes departments in administration, development and fundraising, programs, health services, social services, mental health services, community services, education, recreation, finance, human resources, kitchen, and security.

Other findings include benefit and compensation programs for the Executive Director and provide detail on salary levels and the prevalence of supplemental insurance and retirement programs, vacation time, computers, and cell phones.

“Understanding and tracking wage trends is crucial to an organization, and we are happy to offer such a survey online with fast access to reports. Decision makers can now compare themselves against their local competitors and position their budget accordingly, while complying with the Department of Justice guidelines for safely sharing information” says Margaret Dyekman, President and Chief Operating Officer of WageWatch.

Although the Non-Profit Compensation Survey has been officially released online, Alison DiFlorio, President of eXperience HR, is quick to point out that those who were unable to submit data earlier can still participate in the survey. “We understand busy schedules and budgeting, so the survey tool enables participants to enter data and run reports all in the same day,” she added.

To learn more about the survey, participate, or to view a one-minute video demonstration, all organizations are encouraged to visit: www.WageWatch.com and select the ‘Non-Profit Compensation Survey’ from the survey list, or call directly (888) 339-9243.
